# Mystery solved — the one crucial secret to success in business!

Hello there!
Since you get caught by this title I owe you a big ‘thank you!’

To repay you, I would like to explain to you what is the key factor that stays behind the vast majority of business successes. Do not worry, this knowledge is backed by scientific evidence based on mathematical models. [1]

But before I reveal the secret, let’s think about the richest and most successful people around the world. Who are they? How good are they in their jobs? How is it possible that just eight richest men had a total wealth equivalent to that of the world’s poorest 3.8 billion people? I assume you know that ‘wealth equivalent’ is not actual money, but still this is a bit crazy, isn’t it?

The thing is, that world runs on many so-called patterns automatically. One of the patterns is the 80–20 rule, also known as the Pareto Principle. And we can safely say that 20% of people own 80% of total wealth. In every society — the whole world, your country, or your grandma's village. This is just the way it is.

But why them? Do they have the most talent?
No!
Do they have the highest IQ?
No!
Do they work harder and longer than anyone else?
No! (But yet, without hard work there is almost no chance to succeed…)

IQ, talent, skill, ability, and many other factors (height, weight, etc.) follow a normal distribution that is symmetric about an average value. So it looks like also wealth distribution should follow the Gauss curve, but it doesn’t!

Now you probably wonder what is so special about those people that they are so extremely successful?
As I mentioned earlier, for about 2 years we have a mathematical explanation for this phenomenon.
And it all started in… Italy!

There is a professor of Theoretical Physics named Alessandro Pluchino. Together with his colleagues, he decided to create a computer model of human talent and the way people use it to exploit opportunities in life.

After many iterations of the simulation, it turned out that the most successful and wealthiest people are… the luckiest![2] And of course, the unlucky ones were less successful.

Yes, the secret that stays behind most, if not all, of the success stories is luck!

And this is good news! Because now you can stop worrying that you are already 25 and still you haven't funded your own Google! Or you are in your mid-30s/mid-40s, you feel like deep inside you there is an entrepreneurial soul, but still, you are only an employee. Don’t worry, be happy! Just keep moving forward, be patient, and humble, and maybe tomorrow is going to be your lucky day!

‘Diligence is the mother of good luck’

We live in wonderful times (except Coronavirus, Trump, China, several wars across the globe, incoming crisis, etc.). We literally can do whatever we like and still earn money. So I wish you all the best, find your passion, do not think of ‘success’ in a matter of money you make, but in life, you live.

Cheers!
